Extraordinary English Chinoiserie Panelled Armoire

About

English armoire made from 18th century Chinese export panels, with detailed, carved and gilded wood and gesso base. The armoire dates from the early 19th century. The green lacquered coloration is rare, reputedly reserved for Chinese royalty. The interior was probably re-constructed, and has four shelves and two lower drawers. The left door has slide locks in the top and bottom.
