A fabulous 1930’s Art Deco Period Wardrobe with Bookpaged Oyster Veneers

About the Item

New in is this fabulous Art Deco 2 door wardrobe, veneered in the most amazing “oyster” veneers. Complementing the rich warm honey colours of the veneers to the sides and front are ebonised accents. These are the plinth, the cornice, the 2 original handles and inset vertical grooves to the front shoulders creating a wonderful Art Deco statement wardrobe. The round shoulders are veneered with exquisite burr walnut slightly darker than the doors which sets them off beautifully. The shoulders have insized grooves running vertically and then gloss black French polish making this piece very striking indeed. The interior is in lovely condition, veneered in deep rich mahogany and has full hanging to the left and 3/4 hanging to the right with a cupboard above which is ideal for storing show boxes or chunky pullovers. The catches are solid brass and all original and have been removed and polished. The wardrobe disassembles into 2 manageable sections if need be plus the plinth and cornice. The overall colour of this wardrobe both internally and internally is really lovely (please see our video attached which is taken outside in daylight so is a true representation of the colour of this striking wardrobe) Standing at 6 ft 2” this stunning wardrobe is guaranteed to make a statement in your bedroom.
