We are delighted to offer this very fine, Maple & Co London, Burr Walnut triple bank, compactum wardrobe with heavily carved cabriolet legs and details throughout which is part of a large suite This piece is part of a suite as mentioned, I have in total a sublime pair of bedside table nightstands, the dressing table with trifold mirrors, the bed frame and lastly the large triple bank wardrobe, this sale is for the piece mentioned above only, the other items will be listed shortly Made by Maple & Co who were a top London furniture maker and world-renowned for their quality style and craftsmanship This wardrobe is amazing, it splits into four easy to transport pieces, you have the top cornice, the base plinth and then two central bodies, the side section is one piece and has the drawers and sliding linen shelves, the left side is one piece and has rails and clothing hanging hooks The piece is made up of wonderfully rich Burr Walnut panels which are surrounded by expertly crafted carvings, the feet are a real tour de force of carving as is the central top crest. The wardrobe comes complete with two original keys Condition wise we have deep cleaned, hand condition waxed and hand polished it, there may be age and use related patina marks here and there, as far as I can see there is nothing negative to note and its in fine order Dimensions Height:- 200.5cm Width:- 161cm Depth:- 66cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, This item is available for collection from our Pulborough warehouses RH20 1DF. CONDITION Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
