Pine Single Door Armoire Dated 1753, Denmark
About the Item
Single door pine 6' tall armoire; monogram of MPD and date of 1753 indicate this may have been a wedding or dowry present.
Note the decorative base, carved panels along door and flanking door, large bun feet. The warm patina of the aged pine is a reflection of years of use.
Restored, stable and ready for use; one key included with original functioning lock. Wax finish.
The interior has an upper removable metal hanging bar if client chooses to use.
All scratches, cracks, nicks, age related separations (see back) etc. are commensurate with age (over 250 years old) and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this lovely large pine cabinet.
