1960s White Bar Cart / Tea Trolley with Wicker Basket and Removable Tray
About the Item
This rather unique tea trolley or bar cart with a wicker basket probably hails from France in the mid 1960's. The simple lines and black and white color scheme along with the reed basket make this bar cart a suitable companion for indoor and outdoor settings.
Set on two wheels and two legs, the metal frame and base tray are lacquered in white while the wooden removable tray has a black surface and white outer frame. The base tray is made from perforated metal with two discreet brass covers along the sides making this cart a reminiscent of the the carts by Mathieu Matégot.
The attached wicker basket on the front is in great condition and ideal for holding wine bottles or utensils. The spoked wheels are in good condition and turn well.
Despite its age and use this serving cart is in good condition with some minor signs of age and use.
