19th century Hovis, grocery and post office delivery hand cart This enduring piece was made in the 19th century, by closely examining the script you can see it has changed hands a few time even back then This Charming Dray was made over 100 years ago in wood, the cart has been sign painted some years ago advertising the services of “G Dew” Also visible are advertisements for “POST OFFICE” “HOVIS” and addresses in ANERLY Croydon Rd S.E and Norwood Junction SE25. The Cart has 2 large wood and iron Cart wheels (40” in diameter) and a third stabilising wheel, several opening doors and a deep drawer The Paint work on the cart is in need of restoration, one of the wheels will need replacing, there is a fair bit of wood worm damage, and the canvas covered dome top roof is in need of some attention So a project opportunity and well worth the restoring a very rare museum piece like this The cart is 64” high, ( when level ), 72” long overall and 45” wide GB134.
