About the Item

A perforated metal and wood bar / service cart with laminate top and rubber wheels rolling around on a steel tube frame. Franziska the designer studied Bauhaus design at Harvard under Gropius, Kepes, Moholy- Nagy and Breuer. This piece garnered wide acclaim from the design and furniture establishment as an important work displayed in museum competitions and featured in the trade publication Furniture Forum in the late 1940s. A hard to find and iconic piece of midcentury design manufactured by Hosken Inc. USA.
