Luxurious, and Rare Asprey & Co. London 1920s Royal Warrant. Early 20th century Limed Oak Elevette Drinks Cabinet with Rare Asprey's Pewter Lemon Squeezer on Stand. Original Built-In Three Bottle Tantalus & Decanters & Gin, Scotch Whiskey & Brandy Silver Collars. Possibly retailed by Heal's The rectangular and hinged two panel top enclosing an elevating drinks surface which reveals itself when opened from the top. Item is raised on square tapering legs & fitted with brass castors and united by a circular galleried under-tier with turned spindles ideal for storing glasses. Asprey was established in England in Mitcham, Surrey, in 1781. Founded as a silk printing business by William Asprey, it soon became a luxury emporium. In 1841, William Asprey's elder son Charles went into partnership with a stationer located on London's Bond Street. In 1847, the family broke with this partner and moved into 167 New Bond Street Celebrating 240 years, Asprey moves to Mayfair's Bruton Street, the original location of its first workshops and the birthplace of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. From its central London location, Asprey advertised 'articles of exclusive design and high quality, whether for personal adornment or personal accompaniment and to endow with richness and beauty the table and homes of people of refinement and discernment. Bar is sold with Asprey lemon juicer, silver collars & three hobnail design patterned crystal glass decanters.

  • Condition:
    Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Item is sound structural condition. Surface wear mainly to the inside and some areas of the top of item where the glass and bottles have sat. Crystals decanters are in good clean condition, with a couple of small flea bite chips, in keeping with use.
