19th Century Boulle Marquetry and Gilt Bronze Centre Table
About the Item
This fine table is crafted in ebonised wood and features gilt bronze mounts and Boulle style marquetry. The table is of curved, oval shape, and is inlaid with marquetry to the top, around the edges and along the lengths of the legs. The legs are of cabriole form and feature gilt bronze feet and caryatids to the upper edge. The sides of the table each feature a gilt bronze mask to the centre, and on one side is set a drawer. The tabletop is rimmed with gilt bronze mounts.
