Exceptional Viennese Biedermeier Walnut Pedestal Table – Vienna, c. 1825
We are proud to present a truly rare and exceptionally beautiful Biedermeier pedestal table, crafted in Vienna around 1825. This outstanding piece embodies the finest qualities of Viennese Biedermeier — a style celebrated for its refined proportions, understated elegance, and impeccable craftsmanship that continues to influence modern design.
The circular tabletop is adorned with a striking book-matched walnut veneer, revealing a symmetrical, flame-like grain in a rich amber hue. Nearly two centuries of natural patina add warmth and depth, enhanced by the elegant contrast of finely ebonized details.
The table stands on a beautifully fluted cylindrical column, gracefully carved and proportioned to lend the piece a sense of both stability and lightness.
