Exceptional Viennese Biedermeier Walnut Pedestal Table, c. 1825
We are pleased to present this exquisite Biedermeier walnut pedestal table — a true masterpiece of early 19th-century Viennese design, dating circa 1825. This rare tilt-top piece exemplifies the finest characteristics of authentic Austrian Biedermeier: refined proportions, elegant simplicity, and outstanding craftsmanship.
Distinguished by its superb walnut veneer, this table features a beautifully book-matched top with a highly figured grain and a deep amber tone, enriched by a natural 200-year-old patina. At the center of the tabletop, a finely executed rosette in marquetry technique adds a sophisticated focal point, created with utmost precision by master artisans of the Biedermeier era.
The elaborately designed base is a harmonious continuation of the table’s elegance, offering structural integrity and visual balance — hallmarks of Viennese Biedermeier furniture.
This table is offered in very good condition, with a solid and stable construction and a traditional French polish finish.
