The table was made in France in the second half of the 19th century in the Louis XVI style. The wooden structure is entirely veneered and the top, as well as the band under the central and lateral top, lacquered with chinoiserie designs. On the floor is depicted, in black background, a lake landscape, with houses, mountains and lush plants. The underlay bands, always with a black background, have decorations with polychrome foliated and floral motifs. On the front it is equipped with a drawer with rings for the golden bronze opening. 18th century, Italian Louis XV wood center table This elegant and refined center cabinet was made in Turin around the mid-18th century. Characteristic of the high Piedmontese cabinet making, for this piece of furniture, a veneer was chosen with the particular wood, applied on the piece of furniture with a sophisticated game of mirrors and patterns of the wood grain. The furniture has a shaped and wavy top, and the wooden essence creates a chromatic game called "a occhio di pernice" (partridge eye). On the front it consists of two drawers and a compartment protected by two doors. The opening system of the doors is sliding, very rare and difficult to achieve. The mouthpieces of the locks are in chiseled bronze and gold, as well as the tips of the four legs that are arched and graceful, typical of the Baroque.
