About the Item
Hello,
This fine and very large Biedermeier walnut table was made in Vienna circa 1825.
Viennese Biedermeier pieces are distinguished by their sophisticated proportions, rare and refined design, excellent craftsmanship and continue to have a great influence on modern design.
The table top rests firmly on a lovely vase leg which sits on a beautifully crafted base.
The overall form is beautifully sculptural.
The table top has a gorgeous walnut book-matched veneer with star pattern
accentuated by a deep amber tone of french polish finish and 200 years old patina.
The construction of the table is very solid and steady.
The authentic Viennese Biedermeier tables are very rare and hard to find especially large tables like this particular piece.
The table is in very good condition.
The piece will be a great complement to any elegant interior. It does not matter whether it is a classic or modern interior because Biedermeier is simply timeless.
