Antique English WM IV Regency Brass Inlaid Rosewood Center or Dining Table
About the Item
An extraordinary Antique English period Regency brass inlaid Rosewood Circular Tilt-Top Center or Dining Table with a walnut crossbanding. Please note the exceptional hand cut brass inlay around the walnut crossbanded border and the fabulous book-matched rosewood figuring on top. The pedestal is also very handsome with brass-inlaid splayed legs retaining their original brass casters.
We have illustrated a bit of brass inlay long since missing and has been filled in with a composite material typically used in the past hundred years. This has been taken into consideration as other than normal age-appropriate wear, this table is in superb condition, especially along the top surface. It also maintains its tilt-top ability as well as its original brass catch and pull lever and can be tilted for ease of storage. There is a 25" kneehole clearance which is more than ample for anyone sitting at this table.
