Antique French Louis XIV Walnut Hexagonal Center Table ~ End Table is certainly an uncommon design, with a boldly gadrooned six-sided top. Such a top performs like a round table, but is even more forgiving of floor space. Excellent against a wall, in a corner, or even the center of the room, its tripod support structure ensures stability on any type of floor surface. The legs are a captivating work of the sculptor's art, featuring a bold scrolled shape with a scrolled corbel form carved into the top of both sides of each leg, transitioning into a prominent acanthus flourish that leads the eyes down to the three realistically carved lions' paws feet. Originally meant to impress guests upon entering a home, such tables can find uses elsewhere, and even serve as a handy game table when needed. Crafted from fine French walnut so you can enjoy it for many decades to come.
