This is a large antique octagonal centre table. A Scottish, carved oak Gothic Revival display table, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1880.
Exceptional Scottish craftsmanship with distinct carvings to each side
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
Quality Scottish oak presents fine grain interest and warm caramel hues
Arranged as a comfortable four seat table, with a kneehole height of 63.5cm (25'')
Well proportioned octagonal top with quartered inlay motif to centre
Each of the eight edges presents individual carvings in the Gothic manner
Deep apron with moulded edge sits above the quartet of stout circular legs
Fascinating central quarterfoil unites each of the stretcher rails
