Center low table with sculptural stone feet and glass top - Casigliani Italy 80s
About the Item
This low table is immediately striking in its large size and the beauty of its sculptural supports. The shape is reminiscent of Massimo Vignelli's Metafora coffee tables, albeit with larger and more decorative supports than the simple geometric shapes that characterize the Metafora model. Even the simplicity of polished marble gives way to something more elaborate with the combination of different materials, from marble to gratino to stone, to create three supports of strong decorative value. The impact with such a balanced and interesting table led us to attribute the authorship of the exemplary and refined production to the Casigliani firm, which had already produced the Metafora coffee tables for Vignelli in 1979.
