Floating dark oak by Jordan van der Ven (NL Nijmegen 1979).
Jordan was initially trained as a carpenter, before graduating Fine Arts. As an artist/designer Jordan works from knowledge of materials followed by a sense of form.
With 'Floating dark oak' Jordan reflects on his personal organic growth and flowing lines that characterize his work. The red undertone makes you feel the warmth and love for the material. You can also immediately imagine custom applications as a bench, stool or console.
