French 19th Century Louis XVI St. Gilt Wood Center Table

About the Item

A very attractive and large scale French 19th century Louis XVI st. patinated and gilt wood center table. The center table is raised on tapered fluted legs decorated with acanthus leaves joined by a scrolled X stretcher, centered by an acanthus leaf finial. The patinated straight frieze is decorated by a giltwood running wave design with rosettes, and rosette blocks at each cut corner. All below an impressive 1.5 inch thick marble. All original patina and gilt throughout.
