A elegant vintage French Louis XV style hand carved and painted center table with giltwood accents.
Add a touch of timeless sophisticated elegance and luxurious romantic warmth to any space with this striking 18th century Louis XV style table.
Born in France in the early/mid-20th century, finished on all sides, the exceptionally executed antique reproduction features a serpentine shaped wooden top with molded edge, inset red fabric covered center panel, over curvacious solid beech wood frame in distressed white cream paint finish with gilded gold leaf decorative Rocaille elements of acanthus scrolls and shell motif carvings, gracefully rising on X-form cross-stretcher joined gently curved cabriole legs, terminating in blunt arrow feet.

Having the ideal size and proportions for a variety of different uses, including as a large side table, hall console, sofa table, or placed in the foyer as a stunning entry statement piece!
Great vintage condition. The table presents well, with beautifully aged patina over the whole. Strong, sturdy, stable and structurally sound. Worn, distressed patina finish, with minor scattered chippy paint losses, faded fabric, and other minor imperfections, nothing that detracts from the aesthetics or functionality, but only adds to the authenticity, lovely antique character and European old world charm that can only be acquired over long periods of time.
