About the Item
19th century French Restoration period gueridon/center table made of burled walnut and cherrywood topped with a stunning disc of brecciated marble. The surface of the stone is carved with a wide lip around the circumference, enhancing the tactile quality of the unusual slab. Three elegant legs in cabriole profile are finished with pawed feet resting on the three-armed base at the floor. No repairs have been made to fill in the naturally occurring fissures in the marble, please view the detailed images to see the current condition.
