Italian 19th Century Genovese St. Charles X Period Walnut Center/Dining Table
About the Item
A sensational and unique Italian 19th century Genovese st. Charles X Period Walnut center/dining table. The table displays a circular top, that is removable to showcase a stunning square top below with four drawers. The table is raised by 'C' scrolled pawed legs below an 'X' stretcher with a central reeded circular support. Above the stretcher are the four scalloped shaped dolphins with carved palmettes below the scrolled tail. At the center of the stretched and supporting the top is a tapered column with carved scrolled leaf like designs. At the apron are two functional drawers on the two opposite sides of the table. The beautifully grained Walnut can be appreciated from all sides and on the separate tops.
