Japanese wood table /wabi-sabi table / primitive table / console table

About the Item

The table is made from a single piece of Zelkova wood with a base made from a stump cut in half. The tabletop is made of a single piece of keyaki wood that has a natural shape and is firmly fixed to the stump that serves as the base. The tabletop is jet black in color and is made of cashew wood, which is used as a substitute for lacquer in Japan. The stump of the base has been cut in half and its surface is very beautiful. The base is heavy so it is a sturdy table. It is tall enough and the depth of the tabletop is not too large so it can also be used as a console table. It is a very beautiful table, and somehow exudes a sense of Japanese wabi-sabi. Weight: 48 kg.
