About the Item

Pair of Neoclassical ebonized Swedish center tables, or library tables, hand-carved in Second Empire, or Napoleon III style. Could also make a good pair of writing tables or desks. Original black painted finish, robust turned legs connected by shaped X-stretcher with upright center finial. Hand-carved and painted in the 1860s for an octagonal high domed hall at a Swedish estate. Sold together and priced $11,600 for the pair. Provenance is available upon purchase.
