Rare Genuine Swedish Pine Baroque Centre Table Dated 1758

About the Item

Rare genuine baroque table from Sweden dated 1758. The table is made by hand from solid pine. There is a very thin layer of the original grey blue paint where the pine underneath shines through. It creates a unique patina of time which makes the character of the table truly stunning. The table top is a large oval and can be lifted off the leg frame. The table has a box stretcher, pieces connecting the legs, with a wide capping over which was used as a footrest to avoid draughts during the cold season. Healthy and stable frame.
