About the Item
A spectacular shellwork decorated table, artistic one-of-a-kind example, exceptionally executed design in the manner of Anthony Redmile (British, b.1940), dating to the late 20th century, having a rectangular beveled glass top, over stunning artistic sculptural natural sea shell encrusted X-form cross-stretcher base accented with wood beads.
The London-based interior designer and gallery owner Antony Redmile created some of the most unusual works of 1970s and 1980s London. Describing his interior style as ‘maximalist’ and taking inspiration from a myriad of sources, including exoticism, neo-classicism and travel. His original and eclectic style has led to pieces of high-impact that make a strong visual statement.
