Vintage Spanish Hollywood Regency Centerpiece Table with Etched Glass Top
About the Item
On offer here is a beautifully decorated round table with a glass top. The table features a square base adorned with brass trim and four shell-shaped feet at the corners. Rising from the base is a tapered central column in dark blue/black lacquer, inlaid with stylized brass acanthus leaves that wrap around the central leg. At the top of the column sits a gilded ring with a crown of walnut-carved palm leaves, centered with a brass pomegranate. The palm leaves support a gilded hexagon with brass decorations and brass acanthus leaves at the corners. This golden hexagon holds the elegant round glass top. The edge of the glass top is decorated with a bullnose profile and features an etched pattern and gilded edges underneath.
The table boasts a rich eclectic design and was crafted in Spain in the second half of the 20th century, around 1960. It makes a stunning statement piece, embodying the characteristics of the Hollywood Regency style. The combination of dark lacquer with the gleaming gold of the brass and wooden carvings exudes sophistication. The 0.55-inch thick glass top gives the table an airy appearance and offers a clear view of the exquisite craftsmanship.
The table has been gently cleaned in our workshop. It is sturdy, clean, and ready for use.
