About the Item
A bold and sculptural neoclassical center table with refined details and exquisite workmanship. This round table features a radial-matched veneer top with warm wood grain and a rich luster. Its most striking attribute is the trio of carved dolphins forming the pedestal base, rendered in textured detail and finished in a beautifully aged rubbed gold.
The base terminates on a triangular plinth with classic scroll feet, enhancing the table's architectural quality. Underneath the top is a handwritten inscription attributing the piece to Valentino, with notes describing the base, dolphin elements, and finish.
This table functions perfectly as a statement piece in an entryway, sitting room, or library.
The table has a writing to the underside that reads: 1544 P.D.C. 21440, Top/base Valentino, Dolphin M-25, top ring and base rubbed gold.
