About the Item

This striking coffee table was custom-crafted from an 18th-century French wrought iron balcony panel, now mounted within a clean-lined steel base and topped with a thick, 1-inch tempered glass top. The original ironwork showcases elaborate scrolls, acanthus leaves, and floral garlands centered around a classical urn motif, all hand-forged and richly detailed with a polished patinated finish. The glass top, measuring over 6 feet in length, features a flat polished edge that enhances its clarity and reveals the full depth of the ornate grille below. The sleek steel frame provides contrast to the antique elements while ensuring modern stability and support. Weighing close to 200 pounds with the glass in place, this monumental table is as functional as it is sculptural. Measuring 63.5 inches long by 31.75 inches wide and 20 inches high, it offers both architectural presence and historical charm. Excellent condition consistent with age and use.
