1940s Hollywood Cocktail Table with Dual Pedestals Designed by James Mont
About the Item
This beautiful Art Deco/Hollywood cocktail table was designed by the illustrious 20th century visionary, James Mont, circa 1940. Realized in ebonized mahogany, the piece stands on a pair of skyscraper style square bases with acanthus leaf motifs finished in 24-karat white gold in relief. The table offers a bowed rectangular top with gently concave ends, as well as fluted columns- a motif culled from ancient Greek iconography and an antique mirrored center support with silvered rosette details. Excellent condition.
