About

Classic 1950s two-tiered coffee table by Jacques Quinet (French) in brass with smoked glass tops, beautifully curved corners and free-flowing proportions, an amalgam of elegance and minimalism. A similar coffee table but with different proportions is also available, see other listing.

Jacques Quinet's career spanned five decades interrupted by the Second World War. Although he was trained in the classic French tradition of furniture making he refined the style eliminating all unnecessary decoration to produce a lighter, more streamlined design which captured the imagination of the times.
