1970s Design Institute of America Swivel Black Glass & Brass Coffee Table

About the Item

We are very pleased to offer a minimalist and modern coffee table by Richard D. Berry Jr for Design Institute of America, circa the 1970s. Featuring two luxurious, glass plate insets with polished brass edging and a black fabric covered drum base, this cocktail table glams up any sitting area with its swanky details. Perfect for entertaining, it effortlessly plays with space, the rotating mechanism allows you to extend the table with a gentle swivel. Once your guests are gone or you do not need the extra space, rotate it back. When closed it measures 36” inches; however, when it is completely open the table is 56” inches long. Its simple form is a solid anchor for any room, while the reflective surface of the black glass keeps the feeling light and glamorous. The previous owner rarely used it since it was in the guest quarters; thus, it is in great condition, glass is not scratched, brass finish has slight patina, overall is lustrous and beautiful. Please see all attached pictures.
