1989 Christopher Weiland Studio Craft Glass and Wood Coffee Table in Curly Maple
About the Item
This is a Studio-Crafted Wood and Glass Coffee Table, produced by Christopher Weiland at Weiland Willams Wood Works in the USA in 1989. Mr. Weiland is a well-known Master Artist, and has written books on different woodworking techniques. This table can be considered one of his earlier pieces. The base of the table has an X stretcher with exposed joinery that was formed using both Curly Maple and Padauk Woods. The wood used for the legs displays a lovely soft burled effect, and the juxtaposition between the light and darker wood is quite pleasing.
The table has a diameter of 44.75 inches, and it stands 15 inches high. The legs have some scratches and scuffs around their bottoms, and the glass is in terrific shape with no chips to the edge. There may be some light scratches on the top, but nothing glaring. Overall, this table is in very good condition. Please see photos.
