About the Item
In stock: This contemporary coffee table is a unique piece, created by Xavier Lavergne. Legs are made of thermo-lacquered aluminium and are available in natural aluminium. The top is made of melted pewter cast as a scales design, embedded in resin and polished like a marble. Slight irregularities are to be expected due to the handmade craftsmanship and melting process adding to its uniqueness and personality.
The table is handmade in France and the top is absolutly unique. This art is crafted primarily from the purest pewter - the fourth precious metal after silver.
Each piece is unique and sold with its authenticity certificate. We can also create custom legs, and custom tabletop shapes and dimensions.

Xavier Lavergne Ateliers
Xavier Lavergne is a qualified architect who has worked with the epitome of French excellence such as the Palace of Versailles. In recent times he has shifted his focus to design, seeking to explore the immediacy of the relationship between the piece and the creator. He defines French excellence as powerful artistry, expert craftsmanship, work that comes alive and improves with age. Xavier believes that a utilitarian object must be more than merely functional and attractive. It speaks not only to the eye, but to the spirit. Born of his insatiable quest to explore fantasy worlds, his work invokes alchemy, morphogenesis, organic structures and terrestrial forces. Behind closed doors a rigorous process of research and experimentation brings forth an ebullient cast of characters: jewels of the night sky, colored bubbles from the bowels of the planet, crocodile skins, beetles, and comets crashing exuberantly to Earth. His creations take up residence in the homes of a lucky few, ripe for close-up observation, to perhaps reveal their hidden sense. This art is crafted primarily from the purest cast pewter, the fourth precious metal after silver. It can be projected, then frozen solid upon its ice-cold target, or combined with precious Venice Murano glass, brass grains or mineral materials. All the table tops are made in France and 95 % of the table legs. His brand is growing success with luxury residence and hotels. All shapes, dimensions, and legs design are available.
