About the Item

This coffee table is a unique design piece. . 50s sculpted wooden coffee table - brutalist and minimalist. . France - 1950. . Focusing on the three-dimensionality of the elevations of certain architectures, the designer wanted to mimic the effect by layering several tables of different sizes with sculpted shapes. . The table has an H-shaped structure : it is made up of two different volumes that meet in the center. . The first volume presents a three-dimensional game of 15 frames, each given by the union of three axes that will gradually overlap, thus obtaining a stepped pyramidal structure. . The second module is given by a pyramidal structure composed of three smooth and perfectly polished wooden planks. . The table top has a 60 cm side base, as well as the larger boards at the ends of the structure, 2 cm thick. . The structure is dynamic due to the techniques used in the design and construction. . The table top is made of glass. . You can orient, turn the table in multiple different positions which gives it a unique and exceptional character, never seen in the world of design. . Unidentified designer. . In vintage condition, some gaps and wear that in no way detract from the magic and beauty of this table.
