American Period Art Moderne Walnut Coffee Table
About the Item
This modern vintage 1940s walnut coffee table is centered on a black glass top creating a dynamic play of light and dark contrasts. The wood grains are well-chosen to conform to the shape of the table creating a subtle play of lines. While simple in design the circular table is sophisticated in concept and of a heavy and solid construction not often associated with manufactured furniture in America of this period. The table retains its origin finish and is in very good shape showing little to no wear.
