This is an antique demi-lune crystal cabinet. An English, satin mahogany and satinwood tambour front side table in Georgian revival taste, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
Beautiful revival taste, capturing the exuberance of the late 18th century
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
Select satin stocks present superb grain interest and warm caramel hues
Adorned with satinwood and boxwood inlay for further visual appeal
Striking demi-lune top with an inlaid scallop shell motif and broad border finish
Eye-catching form perfect for decanters atop and glasses within
Pair of tambour fronts open smoothly, dressed with small drop pendant pulls
Adorned with hand-painted motif, an oval medallion to the centre issuing scrolled ribbon details
Pierced oval fretwork apron above a trio of slender tapering legs, with small brass bun feet
This is an ornate and delightfully crafted antique demi-lune crystal cabinet, with superb Georgian revival taste. Graced with excellent colour and fine decorative details, the tambour front is versatile and appealing. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
