A rare and important high coffee table, finely crafted with top-quality walnut veneer. The structure features two circular tiers: the upper level serves as the main surface, while the lower one, set just beneath it, provides additional strength and stability to the overall design. The rectangular-section legs extend from the top and intersect with the lower tier, enhancing both the sturdiness and the elegant verticality of the piece. Made between 1935 and 1938 in the Hallein district of Austria—an area renowned for its distinguished woodworking workshops—this table showcases the rich grain, flame pattern, and warm tones of walnut, beautifully highlighted by the refined veneer work. Its uncommon height and graceful curvilinear profile make it a rare find today. A quintessential example of Austrian Art Deco, it combines formal elegance with practical function, while evoking the charm and craftsmanship of a bygone era. The table has been fully restored by our team of skilled artisans using traditional hand techniques, which further enhance the natural beauty and quality of the wood. In excellent condition.
