Art Deco Black French Round Two-Top Tea/Coffee Table

A peculiar and original round French tea/coffee table made of black painted wood; it has the aesthetic feature that the upper top is smaller than the lower one; both are set on specially created housings, at different heights, on the four legs, the whole structure results in exceptional compactness, solidity and stability. The soft, curvilinear design of the legs is truly innovative and eccentric. The coffee table was created by a master craftsman between 1930 and 1935 in a skilled and professional carpentry workshop in the town of Pont-de-Beauvoisin, a French commune in the department of Isère, nicknamed the city of furniture for its ancient tradition of woodworking; the craftsmen were inspired by the desire to devise a small-sized object with soft, simple lines and gave the coffee table a timeless elegance; its design plays between austerity and rigorousness, and its exaggerated simplicity gives the object a dynamic and stately character. Our coffee table is a valuable and original piece of furniture; it is a perfect and typical example of Art Deco, which with its refined curved, elegant, and refined structure is capable of communicating to us suggestions of bygone times, tradition, and functionality, moreover with its personal and unrepeatable charm it is a discreet and innovative piece of furniture suitable for any type of decor. The object has been hand-restored by our team of craftsmen and is in perfect condition. Measures diameter cm.55, height cm.55. For all our shipments we use special packaging materials (wooden crates, styrofoam, etc.) for maximum protection and safety of the objects.
