About the Item

Incredible wrought iron and rouge marble coffee, cocktail, table in the style French master, Raymond Subes. The table is in good overall condition, however the marble does show some fractures, and is selling as is. The piece was originally in the famous Hotel Nevele, a Borscht Belt Catskill Mountains resort. The hotel was redesigned in the 1950's, which is the time frame this table is placed, we believe. Designed in the classic French Art Deco style, this example features a well crafted, hand wrought iron base, which is in its original faux gilt finish, and has its original marble top. The table is unique and probably a one of a kind, as it was custom made for the resort. Large, substantial, and impressive this is a statement piece, sure to anchor and complete any space it inhabits.
