About the Item

Handcrafted Anamorphous Asymmetric Low Coffee Table with Natural Italian Lime Plaster Stucco Gesso Finish, off white light colour, silky semi-glossy finish. THE OBJECT The BOULDER series consists of anamorphous and asymmetric forms by duo Domenic Degner and Falko Landenberger. Each of our objects is designed and handcrafted by us in our studio and workshop in Berlin. We use hand tools to sculpturally shape the wooden base and then meticulously apply layer over layer of natural Italian lime plaster. The final surface is sanded, polished and finally sealed for easy maintenance. The design of this coffee table is equally calm and soothing while still being intricate enough not to bore. With its off-white DEGLAN signature colour tone it feels right at home in interior styles ranging from the opulent to the minimalistic. Exuding calm through its soft and light surface while also being able to break up an otherwise monotonous interior through its form. The surface resembles that of honed lime stone. An object that most can’t help but feel with their hands - a tactile surface warm to the touch. DEGLAN Duo Domenic Degner and Falko Landenberger are DEGLAN - they combined their skills in architecture, design and craft to artistically explore the possibilities of wood and plaster in the field of functional art. Designing and handcrafting bespoke objects in their Berlin-based workshop, their pieces range from sculptures to seating and low tables to large format works like dining tables serving a worldwide clientele.
