Capolino 1 sculpture coffee table in white veined marble
About the Item
Peeping, that is, popping up, appearing. In our Capolino 1 table, it is a tree trunk that appears in the middle of the top, as if to reclaim a denied space, the space that is too often taken away from nature, due to overbuilding. Moreover, the trunk, carved from a single block of marble, creeps within the plane of the same material, an absolutely natural metamorphic rock. We imagined a piece of wood modified in its structure by the action of water, one of those branches found on the beach in winter brought by the sea, which often have unusual, sometimes curious shapes. The Capolino 1 sculpture table is a unique, non-repeatable specimen made of hand-polished white veined marble, an exclusive creation of our atelier intended to attract the attention of those who appreciate unusual objects. The base can easily be used to store books or magazines, so the table is also convenient and functional as well as charming.
