Born in 1988 and based in London, Charlie Sheppard’s practice focuses on mosaics — working across physical ceramic surfaces and large-scale murals, all linked by his celebration of colour, shape and form.
Sheppard states:

This coffee table typifies his approach: the handmade glazed ceramic tile top is laid with bespoke coloured grout to emphasise the texture and spontaneity of the cracked tile fragments. It’s set within a refined burnished steel frame, marrying craft and architectural discipline. The proportions (100 cm wide × 50 cm deep) make it a bold yet balanced centrepiece for a living space, inviting visual engagement and functional use.
Exhibited in Sheppard’s recent solo show “SOUTH FACING” at 8 Holland Street — which included tiled works, furniture and large scale murals — this piece sits firmly within his evolving furniture-design output.
