Chinese Lacquered Square Coffee Table, c. 1900

About the Item

The restrained silhouette of this Ming-inspired low table beautifully showcases the even texture and rich, dark color of its hardwood construction. Made in the early 20th century in China's Jiangsu province, the low table hints at tradition in the flow from apron to legs, decorated with a finely beaded edge ending in carved scroll feet.
