Created in China during the Qing Dynasty, this coffee table features a rectangular top with central board, sitting above two drawers carved with floral motifs and fitted with brass hardware. The table is raised on four straight slightly splaying legs connected to the top's underside thanks to dragon-carved spandrels. Created in Northeastern China during the Qing Dynasty, this long elm console table made in the region of Shandong during the second half of the 19th century is covered with an exquisite deep black lacquer with gold rubbed red lacquered details. The apron and the base are nicely carved with typical Chinese motifs such as cloud scrolls and geometrical patterns. This apron is adorned with a central calligraphic motif surrounded by scrolls, animals, foliage and geometric accents.
