About the Item

A Chinese Qing Dynasty period wooden coffee table from the 19th century with stained glass top and openwork motifs. Created in China during the Qing Dynasty, this coffee table features a rectangular top adorned with multicolored embossed stained glass panels of blue, green, orange and white color, surrounding a central quadrilobe motif with a tree pattern, perhaps a cherry tree. This medallion is flanked by two red glass panels with traditional Chinese patterns of flower and bird. Raised on four straight legs accented with horsehoof extremities, the table is adorned with openwork scrolled spandrels on all sides. With its elegant lines and warm patina, this Qing Dynasty 19th century Chinese coffee table will make for an exotic addition to any living room or covered patio!
