Christian Krekels (born in 1942) is a passionate Belgian sculptor. After completing his studies at the Institut des Arts Saint-Luc in Tournai, Krekels initially centered his artistics on diamonds. However, as his career progressed, he transitioned to sculpting. His body of work includes both figurative and abstract sculptures, along with artistic coffee tables featuring distinctive tabletops. Christian Krekels was one of the most productive decorative artists who made these kind of tables next to Ado Chale, Jean Claude Dresse, Etienne Allermeersch and some others. These tables were popular during the 1970s, mainly in Belgium and France.
