Unique piece

Wife of a major plastics industrialist, Marie-Claude de Fouquières made her first piece of furniture in polyester resin in 1969 because she could not find any table she liked.
.
Then she experiments with thick colored polyester resin and creates tables, desks, objects, lamps, panels which very quickly meet with great success with private clients such as David de Rothschild, the Emir of Qatar or famous decorators like David Hicks, Alberto Pinto or Henri Samuel..
.
The signature of Marie-Claude de Fouquières is her “exploded” resin, a spectacular effect obtained by means of a chemical reaction which gives an incredibly poetic result.
.
In 1977, on the death of her husband, she ceased her activity and resumed his professional activity.
.
Some slight lacks as you can see in the photos which in no way detract from the beauty of this table. The table leg is made of steel, in vintage condition. It has not been redone or repainted to leave the brutalist and authentic character of this coffee table.

The underside of the table has wear points but the solidity of the table is guaranteed without any problem
