Custom-Made Cast Bronze Coffee Table
About the Item
Custom-made cast bronze coffee table. Designed by Athena Calderone and crafted by Vanessa Monk of Monk Designs. The base of the table was inspired and cast from actual plant stalks found in nature, giving the legs their amazing nubby tactile texture. The dainty and delicate asymmetrical table top is also bronze, amoebic in shape and juxtaposed against the rougher finish of the base. The bronze top was torched, melted, manipulated and hammered to achieve its texture. A functioning piece of sculpture that you get to live with every day! Organic in shape, yet in an aged looking bronze that feels elegant and refined.
