About the Item

Elegant side table made of a thick slab of glazed concrete with an abstract pattern resting on a lacquered steel base. About the Artist Jo Amado (b. 1917 - d. 1963) is one of the more prominent ceramists of the Aix en Provence school, marked among others by the presence of Georges Jouve. Former painter, she created her ceramic studio immediately after the war and her work remains largely imbued with the abstract movement which dominated pictorial art during this period. With her husband Jean, a rich artistic collaboration was established particularly in the architectural field with the creation of the Cerastone which constitutes the material of this table. We offer two other tables of the same style and the same period.
